Looking for an easy delicious breakfast, try these fluffy crumpets.
What you’ll need for pancakes
2 cups self raising flour
pinch of salt
6 tbs sugar
4 tbs butter (melted)
400 ml milk
1 tbs vanilla essence
- Sift dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl (Flour, sugar, salt).
- In another bowl, whisk together the egg, milk and vanilla essence.
- Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and beat until smooth.
- Stir in melted butter into the batter.
Making the crumpets
Heat the frying pan with butter, allow this to melt then spread over the entire pan.
When the pan is nice and hot, drop spoonfuls of batter on the greased pan.
Fry the crumpets until bubbles appear on the surface, now flip over to the other side and fry until golden brown.
Serve warm with butter, syrup or bacon.
